Clever Cardboard Cubbies! {Emy Meets Lulu}

Long time followers might remember this post when we (by 'we' I mean James and his dad) built Miss M this cubby for our back yard. It was such an EPIC task! We spent a few hours each evening painting the pieces for about a month before it was ready to build (which took another few days) ready for the grand reveal of Christmas 2014.

A far simpler (indoor) alternative was delivered to our door and took about ten seconds to assemble PLUS kept Miss M busy decorating for another 15 minutes. Check out this oh so cute cardboard cubby house from lovely 'mums with hustle' small biz Emy meets Lulu. (Kindly gifted for the purpose of this review).

Miss M can't actually wait to try it out, it's not even finished yet!

Peek-a-boo!

The decorating has started!

So after a bit of tidying and rearranging of ALL THE THINGS we seem to have accumulated now having two kids, we chose the perfect spot. Our soft and squishy double sided Ecoviva Bumpa mat (also gifted) made the perfect comfy floor. We made it cosy and inviting inside with cushions, a blanket, teddies, books and a lantern. Once she was inside, James and I looked at each other and breathed in the quiet and peaceful household that we had found ourselves in.

Not long after, some textas and crayons had made their way into the cubby for some interior decorating and art work on the walls. "Please don't draw on the outside until I've taken my photos" I tell her #mummybloggerlife.

All finished!

I see you!

There's something so special to kids about having their own cubby. It's their special place where they can escape and hide and play. Their imaginations are exercising as they can be anything they want to be. Tea parties to be had, dollies to tuck in to bed, teddies to talk to...

What does this say mum?

Cheeky girl!

There's a choice of three cubbies from Emy meets Lulu - the standard house that we got, the on trend tee-pee and the magical castle. You also get to pick your colour and shape of stickers so your kid can decorate to their little hearts content. Emy and Lucy are the teacher mummies behind the biz which all started when they were on maternity leave together. Their cubbies are really sturdy, made in Australia and eco friendly. If you don't want your cubby out all the time, they can be easily flat packed away.

Thanks Emy and Lucy for choosing us to share your clever cardboard cubbies with our readers.
