Fairytale Inspired Imaginary Play {With Little Peggys}

It's been a while since my last small business product review so today I'm really pleased to introduce you to "Little Peggys". Hand painted peg dolls ideal for imaginary play and perfect for little hands. We were lucky enough to sample the Goldilocks set + The Three Little Pigs set and I watched them unlock a whole heap of pretend play possibilities, language development and story telling. Both of my kids love playing with them.

*Kindly gifted for the purpose of this review.

Have a look at the Little Peggys Etsy store for all of the other sets available such as Frozen, Superhero, Rainbow numbers, The Wiggles, Paw Patrol, Family and more! The attention to detail on each doll character is divine. They look so realistic, and are all finished with a shiny top coat.

Our first idea was to act out the story of Goldilocks and the three bears (you may remember we have done this before - on a somewhat larger scale), so Miss M is very familiar with the story. But where to find the bowls, chairs and beds? Off to her dolls house to gather our materials. I just was in awe of watching (and photographing) her play.

Later on Goldilocks and the bears moved in to the dolls house and the play continued!

A really fun way to reenact the story of the Three Little Pigs is to actually construct their houses. Drinking straws and masking tape are good for the straw house, matchsticks and playdough are ideal for the stick house, and we used none other than Duplo for the brick house. No way was 'wolfy' blowing this one down (although he may have "knocked it" a little bit lol). It was a great chance to talk about how to go about making the strongest structure - by staggering the bricks rather than just building 'up'. We talked about measuring concepts, making the walls the same height and where to put the windows and roof pieces.

Remember when we took our rainbow peg people on tour a while back? Maybe these guys would like to go out and about too? What do you think? Should Eenie Meenie Miney Mum and I go for round 2? There may also be a giveaway of these cute characters in the pipe line so stay tuned to my insta.
